Summary of Internship Position:

Join us for a unique summer internship experience where you can develop your Software Engineer skills while working collaboratively on complex computer science solutions. As a global leader in wellness tech, WW is passionate about making a difference in the lives of others and we want to start with you! Depending on your background, interests and experience, our Software Engineering Internship will give you an opportunity to work in one of the following areas:

• Backend Engineer (Node.js, MongoDB, Kafka)
• Frontend Engineer (React, Angular.js)
• Full Stack (all of the above)

Responsibilities:

• Create impactful, high-quality code for WW products and services
• Become a part of the WW Engineering team and interact with Data Science, Product Management, and Experience Research teams.
• Learn about Agile Methodologies, Quality Engineering and get involved in peer code reviews
• Enhance your learning experience by collaborating with the senior engineer you’ll be paired with

Skills/ Requirements:

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or another technical discipline
• Students must have a graduation date between December 2020 and June 2021
• Students must have a cumulative GPA in their major of 3.0 or higher
• Basic understanding of one modern software language such as JavaScript, Java or Python
• Great interpersonal skills and a desire to learn and grow

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with JavaScript frameworks, (e.g. Angular, React or Node.js)
