JOB DESCRIPTION

Program dates:   May 22, 2023 - August 11, 2023 (12-week program)

Locations: This program has positions available at multiple office locations across the country. These locations offer you the opportunity to work within offices that have fellow actuaries who will support you during your internship. Should you accept a position in this program, we will take your preferred office location into consideration and will attempt to accommodate it. Your final work location will be shared with you closer to your start date.

Office locations: CT - Hartford, PA - Blue Bell, GA - Atlanta, KS - Overland Park, IL - Chicago, CA – Concord, VA - Falls Church

About this business area:

• Assignments are available across a variety of business units including Commercial Business, Government Businesses & Medical Economics.

• Limited non-traditional Actuarial assignments exist as available.

You will work on:

• Financial planning, forecasting, and reserving

• Monitoring and forecasting medical cost trends

• Regulatory filings

• New product development and pricing

PAY RANGE

The typical pay range for this role is:

• Minimum: 17.00

• Maximum: 27.16

Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including location.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Meet educational requirements as described below (see education section)

• Have an interest in pursuing an Actuarial career

• Have an interest in obtaining full-time position within CVS Health upon graduation.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Demonstrate inclusive leadership through educational, professional, organized sports, clubs, or life experiences

• Have experience with analytical and technical programs such as Microsoft Excel and/or other data analysis/coding software

Work visa sponsorship is available for this role. This includes participation in Curricular Practical Training (CPT), Optional Practical Training (OPT), and F-1 Visa programs.

EDUCATION

You must meet the follow qualifications:

• Be currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree

• Have an anticipated graduation date between September 2023 and August 2025

• Have a major, minor or concentration relevant to the position. Examples include: Actuarial Science, Analytics, Data Science, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, Risk Management, statistics, or other related degree
