    Who we are:

    Enterprise Analytics has several teams, Retail Analytics, Pharmacy Personalization Analytics and Data Strategy and Engineering, helping lead the effort to transform healthcare and provide better outcomes for patients by leveraging solutions in a particular business analytic area and deliver new insights to leaders that manage the roadmap for enhancements that drive new development on existing or new solutions.

    What you will do:

    The Analytic Athlete role will work with a variety of business partners from across the enterprise to both support the design, development, and delivery of analytic solutions. The Analytic Athlete will collaborate with business partners from product development and management, operations, and finance to demonstrate value of CVS Health products and services. This position will enable data-driven strategic decision-making and find opportunities for existing product improvement and new product development. The Analytic Athlete will design and conduct rigorous analyses of pharmacy data, medical claims, and other data, and translate those findings into analytic questions appropriate business and customer audiences.

    You will support the analyses of data, ranging from descriptive ad-hoc analyses to in-depth investigations of drug pricing, healthcare utilization trends, and outcomes with several statistical modeling approaches, such as regression modeling, time-series analyses, optimization, and machine learning techniques including random forests and ensemble models. You will apply creativity in developing analytic solutions based on available data sources and representing analytic findings in reports, tools, and other media to support the most effective translation and application for our customers.

  • Qualifications

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

    You should:

    • Currently be pursuing a Master’s Degree or PhD in Statistics, Quantitative Economics, Mathematics, Marketing, Economics, Engineering, Operations Research, or related field
    • Have data analysis and predictive modeling experience
    • Have experience with quantitative tools such as SQL, SAS, R, Python, or other statistical software packages
    • Have data visualization platforms such as Tableau or MicroStrategy

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    You should have:

    • Experience translating business problems into modeling approach taking into account business requirements, data availability, development time, complexity and ability to scale
    • Experience with machine learning (i.e. feature engineering, model selection, validation, etc.) or price optimization
    • Experience developing and applying time series or forecasting methods and models
    • Experience constructing, validating, and maintaining predictive models in healthcare settings;
    • Experience with big data tools such as Hadoop and Spark
    • Experience working in healthcare industry with healthcare data

    EDUCATION

    You should:

    • Currently be pursuing a Master’s Degree or PhD with an anticipated graduation date between December 2020 – August 2021
    • Have preferred/relevant majors in Statistics, Quantitative Economics, Mathematics, Marketing, Economics, Engineering, Operations Research or other related quantitative program
    • Have 3.3+ cumulative GPA
