Internship Job Title: Data Science Intern

NOTE: Internship is for Summer of 2023

You must be enrolled in a Bachelor's, Master's or PHD Degree program at the time of the internship. This role is also not eligible for continued sponsorship.

What is special about this team: The Data Science team is responsible for providing data solutions to the Amway organization. They work closely with many different teams across Amway, including market research, plant and agriculture research, marketing, regulatory, and clinical investigators.The team supports product development from the initial idea to market. This collaborative team discovers and connects various data sources, runs complex analyses, builds models to determine important features and make predictions, and above all employs data to enable fast, impactful decisions.

How would an intern contribute to the team’s success: In this role, you would develop you data science skills in every step of the data analysis pipeline. From data cleaning and wrangling to output interpretation, you will develop an understanding of how data science can transfer to real, actionale insights for the company. We want people with the ability to clearly communicate complicated data science methods and results to a non-technical audience: interpreting data and findings in layman's terms, effectively explaining the approach, process, results, and next steps.

An example of a typical project is: Combining and preparing various data sources, determing the best inputs based on the desired output, and analyzing results to inform decisions. There is an aspect of discovery to all of our projects: how can we more effectively use new or existing (internal and external) data sources to predict new, unseen insights?
