    Internship Job Title: Global Social Media

    NOTE: Internship is for Summer of 2023

    You must be enrolled in a Bachelor's, Master's or PHD Degree program at the time of the internship.

    What is special about this team:

    Amway is the leading direct selling company in the world and the Global Social Media team is responsible for building awareness of Amway and its product brands, making it easier for Amway Business Owners to attract customers. The team develops social media, social listening, web content, and SEO / SEM strategies; manages enterprise social media management and listening platforms; manages social channels; develops web and social content, guides the organization on social, web and SEO/SEM best practice and much more.

    The team operates from Amway’s World Headquarters and collaborates with myriad cross-functional partners, including Creative Solutions, Technology, Brand Marketing, Legal and Government Affairs, and global Amway affiliate teams around the world.

    How would an intern contribute to the team’s success:

    The global social media intern will gain experience and exposure to social media strategy, listening, content creation, analytics and reporting and more at a global company, across brand categories. The intern will experience one to two week rotations over the course of the internship working with different members of the team in different specialty areas

    • Social media strategy and planning

    • Social listening

    • Sprinklr and community management / analytics

    • Content creation and performance

    • Paid social

    • Search engine optimization

    An example of a typical project is: The intern will produce a specific deliverable from each rotation, such as

    • Mini campaign strategy

    • Social listening dashboard

    • Social campaign analytics report

    • Content brief

    • Keyword analysis

    What skills and background will be important to be successful in this internship?

    Desired Skills:

    • Understanding of social media platforms and content trends (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, etc.)

    • Familiarity with social media publishing tools sucha as Sprinklr, Hootsuite, Contently, etc.

    • Exposure to social media or communications strategy, planning, content development, etc.

    • Outside-of-the classroom experience in these areas (via student organizations, volunteer opportunities or work experience)

    Desired Degree:

    • Marketing, Digital Marketing, Social Media, Entrepreneurship or related field
