Internship Job Title: Logistics (First Mile)

What is special about this team:

The Amway First Mile Logistics group includes Global Trade, Global Transportation, and Global Warehousing functions. Our teams are responsible for compliance with customs regulations, duty savings/spend, multi-modal movement of raw materials and finished products to our affiliates and manufacturing sites, and warehousing of inventory. At a time when there is more focus than ever on the efficiency and overall health of supply chains, our team is on the front line everyday trying to solve global logistical challenges to ensure our business partners have a sufficient supply of inventory while mitigating inflationary pressures.

How would an intern contribute to the team’s success:

The selected intern will be uniquely positioned to spend time in each of our 3 functional teams in order to understand the core systems and transactions within our teams and their respective roles within the Amway supply chain. The intern will use this knowledge in their project(s) to provide cross-functional perspective via dashboards and other visuals.

An example of a typical project is:

Project(s) will be analytical in nature and will require utilization of various business intelligence tools to create or modify visuals that deliver real-time visibility to KPI’s. Project work will help to proactively identify opportunities for lead time improvement, savings, and/or contribute to overall supply chain efficiencies.

What skills and background will be important to be successful in this internship?

Desired Skills: Ability to work with raw data and create compelling visuals via use of Alteryx, Tableau, Google Cloud Platform, or similar programs. Strong analytical and communications skills

Desired Degree: Bachelor’s in Business or related suppy chain field
