Internship Job Title: Manufacturing Training and Development Internship

The One Team is a small lean and agile team that has a work hard, play harder mindset. The One Team plays as a strategic partner in supporting Amway Manufacturing in owning the skill development system, developing training systems and programs, hiring, attracting, and retaining manufacturing talent. We are extremely collaborative, you will have exposure and work closely with corporate functions like, Human Resources, Engineering, Manufacturing, Corporate Communications, Marketing, Procurement, Supply Chain Planning etc. We are a team that welcomes all ideas, we move quickly, and invite failures as opportunities for growth.

How would an intern contribute to the team’s success:

This position will have direct influence on the Corporate A70 strategy for Manufacturing. The One Team internship project will identify any opportunities in the training and development space from day one and throughout their career growth. This will set Amway Manufacturing and its stakeholders up for immediate success while having sustainable and lasting impact.

An example of a typical project is:

Potential Projects will be focused on assisting the One team with various training projects focusing on graphic design, instructional design, and adult learning to continue to create robust training programs and/or materials for Amway Manufacturing. Supporting the manufacturing labor strategy in developing creative ways to get students exposed to Manufacturing early in their HS careers, helping build up a strong talent pipeline for Amway. Assisting in further developing career pathways strategies, and organizational design.

What skills and background will be important to be successful in this internship?

Desired Skills: Instructional Design, Graphic Design skills preferred, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, detailed oriented, strong creativity, and communication skills. Experience with training theories. Ability to learn, Learning Management Systems (LMS), Strong passion for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. Proficient with office tools.

Work Type: Hybrid, Monday Through Thursday in the office, Friday’s work from home.

Location of Internship: Ada, MI
