Internship Job Title: NBC Manufacturing Intern

*You must be enrolled in a Bachelor's, Master's or PHD Degree program at the time of the internship.

What is special about this team: The Quincy facility has unique processes and equipment that are not shared in the company. The facility works with unique botanicals from our farms to create quality product for our customers. The Quincy team is a close-knit group that leverages the “One Team” attitude and works across many departments to solve production matters.

How would an intern contribute to the team’s success: This position will have a direct impact to the metrics and quality of product produced here at the facility. The projects will help drive efficiencies through standardizing processes, researching the proper techniques and parameters to improve the process, and performing studies to identify the potential root causes to major processing concerns.

An example of a typical project is: Projects are focused on assisting the production team with challenging issues that are experienced during production and that will make the biggest impact on scrap, yield, or throughput. Potential projects include trialing ways to reduce cycle time for Belimed cycles, trialing votators pump speeds to determine the best dwell time to reduce/eliminate microorganisms, and trialing methods to reduce moisture variations with products on the Refractance Window Dryer equipment.

What skills and background will be important to be successful in this internship?

Desired Skills: Proficient with Office tools (Excel, Access etc.). Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Have strong analytical and communications skills

Desired Degree: BSChE (focus in Chemical Engineering)

Work Type: Hybrid, Monday Through Thursday in the office, Friday’s work from home.
