    This team is positioned at the intersection of engineering and manufacturing. It is a team that gets to focus on solving the problems that nobody else knows how to and identifying the opportunities for improvement that nobody has explored before. The team has a lot of cross-industry experience and a wealth of knowledge to share with and support new additions to the team.

    How would an intern contribute to the team’s success:

    The nature of process engineering work at Amway is often fast paced and ambiguous. There is almost never just one way to solve a problem or design an operation. Bringing in new talent to share alternate approaches, new skill sets, and challenge the status quo helps everyone grow together and deliver better results.

    An example of a typical project is:

    The nature of the work that Nutrition Process Engineering delivers can vary greatly. This group is responsible for developing and equipping a manufacturing operation for anything new or changing. This includes launching new products, installing and validating new equipment, and cominuously improving our existing processes. Project could be designing a new optimized work center, experimenting with an improved cleaning method, identifying ways to reduce scrap/improve quality, automating a previously manual process, or any other continuous improvement-oriented activities.
