    The American Heart Association’s Internship Program provides college students an opportunity for hands-on experience in various facets for individuals interested in gaining work experience with a non-profit, voluntary health organization. American Heart Association’s Youth Market team is responsible for art direction, design and production of its yearly campaigns for school engagement. The team consists of experts across the US involved in strategy, creative and tone to deliver a successful fundraising campaign and is seeking an intern with skills to help us create and deliver both print and digital content. This content includes product and packaging design, social media assets and motion animation/video editing. Ideal candidates will be kids at heart, creative, and possess a variety of graphic and design skills, excel in written communication, and have strong attention to detail.

    INTERNSHIP OVERVIEW:

    • Time Commitment: 20-25 hours per week

    • Internship Duration: 1/17/2023 – 5/5/2023

    • Remote Position

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Design/Production

    • Create/design branded material for print and online use.

    • Carryout execution of current design concept(s).

    • Ability to take existing designs, assets/illustrations and modify for specific use.

    • Work on training and sponsorship presentations for internal and external partnerships.

    • Work with multiple Youth Market Leads and assist where needed.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Basic knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud applications (Illustrator, Photoshop, & Indesign) and Microsoft Office applications (Word & PowerPoint).

    • Creative mindset with illustration skills.

    • Ability to interact professionally in a corporate, non-profit environment and assume responsibility for guiding communications and projects from inception through completion.

    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment managing multiple priorities involving multiple entities.

    • Minimum availability 20hrs/wk, M-F during normal business hours
