The Legal Internship experience is a 10.5-week full-time opportunity that starts on May 27th, 2026, and concludes on August 7th, 2026. This is a hybrid position with 3 days (generally Tuesday – Thursday) in the Hartford, CT office location. The other 2 days each week will be working remotely from home, office, or another location of your choice.
While housing and stipends are not provided, interns will have the opportunity to connect with one another before the program begins to coordinate housing if desired.
The pay rate is $27.50/hr with 40 hours/week , no work on July 4th (company holiday), and two days of paid leave.

Work visa sponsorship is not available for this role. This includes participation in Curricular Practical Training (CPT), Optional Practical Training (OPT), and F-1 Visa programs.
About this business area:
CVS Health’s Legal Department is seeking a Summer 2026 rising 2L or 3L intern to support the Legal Department. This is a paid internship, and the program is designed to provide the intern with hands-on training in a real-world environment of an in-house legal department. Assignments will vary and may include research and drafting memos, reviewing agreements and other legal documents, preparing for and attending client meetings with in-house counsel.
We work closely with our business partners and outside resources, where necessary, to obtain the appropriate resolution of legal matters.
In compliance with our Code of Conduct and our legal and regulatory obligations, we help the company exercise sound judgment and meet its business objectives in a manner that complies with applicable law

Examples of past internship projects include:
Researching statutes, regulations and case law on federal, state and local levels
Preparing memoranda and presentation materials regarding outcomes of legal research and case summaries
Benchmarking across peers in our various industries for disclosure, corporate governance, and other legal best practices
Reviewing and proposing edits to company policies and procedures based on changes in law and benchmarking results
Preparing training materials for colleagues
Presenting legal findings to other members of the legal team
Required Qualifications:
Meet educational requirements (see Education section below)
Availability to work full-time for the duration of the internship program
Authorized to work in the United States with sponsorship (see above)
Preferred Qualifications:
Highly organized and detail-oriented
Demonstrated legal leadership experience (e.g., active roles in student or social organization activities, community service, or school or work-related projects)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and follow through on tasks until completed
Must be able to discreetly handle confidential information
Responsive to requests and strong adherence to deadlines
Foster collaborative and collegial relationships with others
Education:
Enrolled in an ABA accredited law school pursuing a Juris Doctor degree. Must have completed 1L or 2L by June 2026 and have an expected graduation date between May 2027 and June 2028.
