    The Media Relations Corporate Internship Program is a 10.5-week full-time opportunity that starts on May 27th, 2026, and concludes on August 7th, 2026.

    This is a hybrid position with 3 days (generally Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday) in the Woonsocket, RI office location . The other 2 days each week will be working remotely from home, office or another location of your choice .

    The hourly rate is $25/hr with 40 hours/ week, no work on July 4th (company holiday), and two days of paid leave. Additionally, our corporate interns have an increased likelihood to receive an offer for a future role with CVS Health.

    Sponsorship: Work visa sponsorship is not available for this role. This includes participation in Curricular Practical Training (CPT), Optional Practical Training (OPT), and F-1 Visa programs.

    Relocation: CVS Health follows a hybrid work model providing office-based colleagues the ability to flex between working in the office and working from home based on the work you need to accomplish. No housing or housing stipend will be provided, but interns will be given the opportunity to connect with each other prior to the start of the program to coordinate housing if desired.

    ** About this business area:**

    The Media Relations team within External Affairs is responsible for protecting and enhancing CVS Health’s reputation through strategic engagement with national, regional and trade media. We support key business areas across the company by developing and executing media relations plans, managing media inquiries and positioning CVS Health leaders as trusted voices in health care.

    Media Relations interns will gain foundational experience in external communications, including media monitoring, press release drafting and story pitching. Interns will work closely with senior communicators and cross-functional teams to support high-impact initiatives and learn how to navigate complex reputational challenges. This role will contribute to media efforts that highlight CVS Health’s Community Impact, Sustainability, and Workforce Initiatives—helping to amplify the company’s commitment to social responsibility.

    This internship offers exposure to real-time media strategy, thought leadership campaigns, and earned media analytics. Interns will leave with a strong understanding of how strategic communications drive business outcomes and influence public perception—preparing them for future roles in corporate communications, public affairs, or media strategy.

    Examples of past internship work include:

    • Support development and execution of integrated external public relations and internal plans to drive awareness of the difference we continue to make for our colleagues, communities and planet
    • Contribute to and maintain team process and reporting documents and project plans, including a calendar of events, media inquiries
    • Analyze and audit communication assets

    Required Qualifications

    • Meet educational requirements (see education section)
    • Have a willingness to commute or relocate to the Woonsocket, RI office
    • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
    • Interest in corporate communications, public affairs, or external media strategy

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Demonstrated leadership experience. Examples include active roles in student or social organization activities, sports, or school or work-related projects
    • Prior internship/work experience communicating for impact in a related field such as Journalism, Communications, Public Relations, or Business
    • Experience with Microsoft Office products including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word
    • Ability to develop and maintain strong business relationships

    Education:

    • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree
    • Have an anticipated graduation date between September 2026 and August 2027
    • Have a major, minor or concentration relevant to the position such as Journalism, Communications, Public Relations, English, Business, or related field required

    Pay Range

    The typical pay range for this role is:

    $25.00 - $25.00
