The Merchandising Strategy MBA Corporate Internship experience is a 10.5-week full-time opportunity that starts on May 27th, 2026, and concludes on August 7th, 2026. This is a hybrid position with 3 days (generally Tuesday – Thursday) in the Woonsocket, RI office location. The other 2 days each week will be working remotely from home, office, or another location of your choice.
Interns who live more than 50 miles from their assigned location may be eligible for a one-time relocation stipend.
The pay rate is $55/hr with 40 hours/week , no work on July 4th (company holiday), and two days of paid leave. Additionally, our corporate interns have an increased likelihood of receiving an offer for a future role with CVS Health.

Work visa sponsorship is not available for this role. This includes participation in Curricular Practical Training (CPT), Optional Practical Training (OPT), and F-1 Visa programs.
About this business area:
The Retail Front Store Strategy team stewards the development of the company's long-term merchandising strategy while aligning with key priorities within total merchandising strategies. Our team also identifies and cultivates new business opportunities within the overall front-store strategy and develops partnerships with leading CPG suppliers to drive innovation and profitability.
You will gain valuable work experience and participate in:
Contributing directly to sales and margin goals in assigned category.
Analyzing profit and loss information for the category, developing sales and margin projections, and assisting Category Manager in P&L reconciliation.
Analyzing relevant data and incorporating findings and recommendations into Category Plans (i.e., optimal SKU mix; ExtraCare loyalty program; promotional programs) for merchandising programs.
Driving tactical execution of day-to-day plan activities (e.g., builds off-shelf plans, track promotional period, and performs post appraisal to take corrective action if necessary).
Collaborating with an internal team of CVS professionals in Inventory, Pricing, Promotion, Finance, Store Brands, Store Design, and Store Operations.
Analyzing sales records and inventory levels of current stock; seek new, alternative foreign and domestic suppliers.
Developing and maintaining a strong understanding of current competition; searching out new competitive opportunities and make recommendations.
Keeping abreast of changes in the market. Research customer product preferences, supplier prices and the competitive environment.
Exploring and explaining trends in sales, assortment, and customer behavior over time and analyzing its implications on retail strategy.
Identifying opportunities within pricing, promotion, and assortment to help meet sales and margin goals.
Required Qualifications:
Meet educational requirements (see Education section below)
At least 2 years of related post-undergraduate work experience
Demonstrated ability to use Microsoft Suite: Excel, PowerPoint, etc
Availability to work full-time for the duration of the internship program
Authorized to work in the United States with sponsorship (see above)
Preferred Qualifications:
Demonstrated leadership experience and initiative
Strong analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills
Ability to acclimate to new tools/systems
Previous consulting, healthcare, and/or retail experience preferred but not required
Have an interest in obtaining full-time position within CVS Health upon graduation
Education:
You should be currently pursuing an MBA degree, MS degree, or similar
Have a graduation date between September 2026 and August 2027
Major, minor, or concentration in Business Administration, Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Management, Marketing, Merchandising, Strategy, or a related field.
