Internship Job title: Nutrition Process Engineering Intern

How would an intern contribute to the team’s success: This position will contribute to the team’s overall success by helping to identify, troubleshoot, design and run experiments that enable the manufacturing of new “all-in-one” solid dose delivery formats.

An example of a typical project would be: Consumers are looking for more novel delivery formats that are experiential and “instagrammable” without compromising efficacy. Additionally, the ability to reduce one’s supplement regimen from multiple tablets and softgels into a one-a-day concept enables a better customer experience. The intern would be asked to further development on an “all-in-one” solid dose product (such as tablets inside a hard shell capsule) for us to explore ultimately manufacturing this type of format in-house.

Required skills and background:

• Desired Major: Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Materials Science or related science major
• Desired Class Year: Sophomore, Junior, Senior or Grad Student (Masters or PhD)
• Desired Skills: Education or experience with formulation or processing of nutrition, OTC, or pharmaceutical products. Ability to effectively analyze and communicate ideas, concepts, and data to a broad audience.
