The Nutrition Quality Assurance team is essential to ensuring products of high quality reach our customers. The Quality Engineers within this team pro-actively identify and resolve quality concerns, and address known quality concerns through identification and implementation of corrective and preventative actions, as well as actively participating in ITM projects enabling ‘Design for Quality’. Additionally, the Quality Engineers conduct process, equipment, cleaning and sanitization validations to ensure foundational systems are performing optimally to aid in consistently producing quality products.

How would an intern contribute to the team’s success:

An intern within the Nutrition Quality Assurance team would be given responsibility of a real-life quality or validation situation to investigate and resolve to aid in our ability to deliver quality products to the customer.

An example of a typical project would be:

Quality focused continuous improvement project that involves cross functional collaboration between manufacturing, engineering, and research and development teams to create or improve a process.

Required skills and background:

• Desired Major: Bachelors degree in any science field, chemical engineering, statistics or another relevant technical field.
• Desired Class Year: Sophomore or Junior
• Desired Skills: Science or engineering background, understanding and interpretation of data, statistics. Communication and presentation skills
