JOB DESCRIPTION
Location: This program is a work-from-home program within the territory that you are hired for and has positions available at multiple territories across the country. By applying to this position, you understand that you will be considered for opportunities at these multiple areas and your final location will be assigned and shared with you closer to your start date. Since 1924, Aetna's Sales Development Program, Group School, has had a proven record of success in transforming recent college graduates into healthcare sales professionals. As a member of this program, you will learn the art of selling, relationship development and management, and about the broad variety of healthcare benefit products we offer. You are also provided opportunity to apply your knowledge and learned skills in real-life scenarios with guidance and mentoring from our leadership team.
What to expect:
A 12-month comprehensive development program designed to prepare you for success in a field sales role divided into three phases:
Phase 1: Six-week in-person orientation and foundational training experience at our offices in Hartford, CT
Phase 2: Healthcare business-specific training opportunities depending on final role assignment and location
Phase 3: Continued education and professional development
Active mentorship through the program with our sales leaders and program alumni
Top-tier product training on our broad portfolio of healthcare benefit packages
This program launches your career on our sales team where you will build and maintain relationships with brokers and prospective and current clients while working to expand your book-of-business. Working together with internal partners, you will assemble employee benefit packages that help to meet our client needs, develop high impact presentations and proposals on healthcare benefit packages, and present to key decision makers. Success is measured by managing multiple proposals and clients simultaneously, closing sales, and retaining clients.
PAY RANGE
The typical pay range for this role is:
Minimum: 40,560
Maximum: 81,100
Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including location.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Meet educational requirements (see education section)
Must live in or be willing to relocate if final position requires it
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Strong communication skills
Strong presentation skills and the ability to explain complex concepts to a variety of stakeholders
Use critical thinking skills to identify risks, trends, or client needs and solve these findings with innovative solutions
Have leadership experience. Examples may include: project leadership, workplace responsibilities, active roles in student/social organization activities, or sports
Have internship, volunteer, or work experience in related fields such as business to business sales, account management, healthcare, or client relations
Exhibit excellence in academic performance
Project management experience. Examples include: leading a school or work-related project from start to finish
Work visa sponsorship is not available for this role. This includes participation in Curricular Practical Training (CPT), Optional Practical Training (OPT), and F-1 Visa programs.
EDUCATION
You must meet the follow qualifications:
Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or have already obtained a Bachelor’s degree with an graduation date between May 2020 and August 2023
Have a major, minor or concentration relevant to the position. Examples include: Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or Management
