What is special about this team: The Industrial & Systems Engineering team delivers systems and analytics for our manufacturing team. This team works heavily with cross functional partners such as innovation & sciences, quality, maintenance, planning, finance and manufacturing to provide internal consulting support.

You will join a team of software developers and industrial engineers that are charged with designing and implementing a process-led manufacturing technology solution. This group partners with similar teams located at our manufacturing operations in India and China.

How would an intern contribute to the team’s success: You will participate in the design, implementation, and deployment of our digital strategy to improve the safety, quality and efficiency of our manufacturing processes. We are looking for problem-solvers that can analyze requirements, design solutions, and successfully implement them with the help of cross-functional teams.

An example of a typical project is: Design, Build and test a more efficient API protocol that results in automated data from our manufacturing equipment. Our current design is based on Kepware software ClientAce module and we are upgrading to a Kepware OPC-UA tunneling design. The proposed design is an industry standard that is scalable solutions for connecting, managing, monitoring, and controlling automation devices. This will require understanding manufacturing processes, software programming, systems integration and controls engineering.

What skills and background will be important to be successful in this internship?

Desired Skills: Quickly design, develop, and deliver new code using a variety of tools, languages, frameworks, and technologies

Strong preference for experience working in consumer products, food/beverage industry or manufacturing-related sectors

Desired Degree: BS/BA or greater in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Management Information Systems, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field highly desirable

Academic year(s) of students considered for employment: Sophomore, Junior, Senior, Masters
