Internship Job title: Software Engineering Intern – Managed Platform Engineering

Hourly Range: $21.29-$34.59

Location: Ada, MI (Onsite or Hybrid)

What’s special about this team: The Managed Platform Engineering team is responsible for building, deploying, and operating cutting-edge cloud technologies within our ABO Success Ecosystem. This delivery team is part of a larger team of software engineers and systems analysts with a mix of both internal employees and outside industry experts. This team thrives on collaboration and working together to create the best solutions possible to support our Amway Business Owners (ABO) across the globe. These solutions collectively process over 6 billion transactions per month and critical to the success of our business. This team is a self-managed, hardworking group of high achievers that has been working very closely with the regional initiative across the globe providing all ABO Success capabilities. 

How would an intern contribute to the team’s success: You would work on cloud-native technologies that are instrumental in our go-forward organization. This is a platform that has a multi-year investment plan, with strong partnership with the business and other stakeholders. You will help us advance in our future state journey.

An example of a typical project would be: Enhance and develop capabilities for monitoring system health. Research and document capabilities of existing frameworks. Build features according to the requirements provided by the other development teams.

Required skills and background:

• Desired Major: Computer Science or similar
• Desired Class Year: Junior or Senior
• Desired Skills: Computer programming experience with at least one language. Familiarity with Software Development process. Desire to learn about new technologies.
