Camp Echo Lake is currently looking for a skilled design or woodworking student to join their 2019 Fine arts team and manage the Camp Woodshop. If you are looking for an opportunity to build experience in teaching, team leadership, programming, lesson planning, and, of course, child development, then do not hesitate to reach out about this opportunity.

The position starts either June 13th for training, and ends on August 12th, and staff will be given the opportunity to live and work with an amazing group of children between the ages of 7-16 for 7-weeks.

General Responsibilities include:

• Managing a safe and engaging woodworking program;
• Collaborating with other Fine Arts staff on general projects and curriculum;
• Thinking outside the box and creating a fun and inclusive environment;
• Caring for a group of energetic and fun children;
• Working cooperatively with staff from all of the US and the World;
• Unplugging from the daily technology overload;
• Explore new and familiar activity areas with a group of campers;
• Have a fun and memorable summer!

If you have experience working with children, love being outdoors, and are looking for a fun, energizing job this summer, then you should consider applying. Some other qualifications that would help you in your application include:

• Experience working with children between the ages 7-16;
• Experience working and collaborating with your peers;
• Familiarity with a broad array of power tools and woodworking projects;
• A genuine interest in working with children;

• The ability to receive and deliver constructive feedback; and
• The desire and capacity to have a fun, active summer in the Adirondack region of Upstate New York
