    Janssen Scientific Affairs (JSA), a member of the Johnson & Johnson Family of Companies, is recruiting for an undergrad university intern to provide operational support in various contracting & process improvement initiatives within the JSA Contracting Strategy & Operations team at the Titusville, NJ location.

    The Integrated Medical & Scientific Business Strategy & Operations organization leads strategic initiatives on behalf of Janssen Scientific Affairs and in collaboration with US Medical Affairs and leads all contracting strategy and operations in support of the Janssen Scientific Affairs Organization (including Real World Value & Evidence) and select Medical Affairs teams. The team partners with functional and Enterprise stakeholders including but not limited to Procurement, Finance, Contract managers in Commercial Contracting COE and Contracting, HCC, legal, and IT legal, and IT.

    This role will be primarily working in support of the Contracting Strategy & Operations arm of the team, however, opportunities may arise for the right candidate to also collaborate on defined strategic initiatives.

    This candidate would have an interest in gaining Pharmaceutical industry experience, including learning about end-to-end real world research and medical affairs strategic contracting with a strong emphasis on regulatory and compliance requirements associated with conducting Real World Research, Advisory Boards, etc. They will also gain solid project management experience and be given the opportunity to develop proficiency with associated IT systems and Microsoft Office Suite. The ideal candidate will have a passion for learning and enjoys working in an environment where each day is different and who thrives in shaping new and innovative approaches to solving complex problems.

    Expected hours: Position involves approximately 8 hours of work per day, Monday through Friday (a 40-hour work week) in Titusville, NJ.

    Qualifications

    • Currently enrolled in an accredited college/institution pursuing an undergraduate degree.

    • Must not be a Freshman or a Senior graduating prior to program end date (Seniors must be willing/allowed to extend graduation date)

    • A minimum 3.0 GPA is required.

    • Highly proficient in MS office suite

    • Strong planning and tracking skills, capable of managing multiple projects, excellent time management with respect to priorities.

    • Demonstrate leadership skills in a team environment. Possesses strong interpersonal skills for bridging between scientific and business stakeholders. Effectively interacts at all levels of the organization.

    • Exhibits strong analytical skills for integrating and interpreting interdisciplinary project information.

    • Possesses problem-solving skills with experience developing creative solutions to maintain project timelines

    • Available for at least 10 weeks over the 2023 summer.

    • Candidate must be legally authorized to work in the US. without requiring visa sponsorship

    • Candidates must be able to provide their own transportation to the work location in Titusville, New Jersey.

    • Housing is not provided; there is no reimbursement for interview-related expenses.

    The anticipated base pay range for this position is Sophomore $20/hr, Junior $21.25/hr, Senior $22.50/hr, Master’s degree $27.50/hr.
