    TRI POINTE HOMES WASHINGTON IS LOOKING FOR AN EXPERIENCED, ENTHUSIASTIC INDIVIDUAL TO JOIN OUR TALENTED GROUP AS A CONSTRUCTION SCHEDULER.

     

    POSITION HIGHLIGHTS: Responsible for overall leadership of field construction team, vertical construction activities, coordination and performance monitoring of trade partners, and quality control for the assigned geographic area (multiple communities).

     

    POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Manage production flow through both daily updates received from the Construction Manager and periodic field inspection of the Hyphen BuildPro schedule, thus maintaining a consistent level of production and protecting the “always ready” integrity of the schedule.
    • Act as one of the company’s primary links to the vendor base and a key participant in identifying areas of improvement
    • Work with vendors and Construction Managers to maintain the schedule and continuously improve the schedule over time.
    • Use analytics to identify trends and drive change throughout the entire construction process and further disseminate this information to effectively communicate Vendor Performance to Tri Pointe Homes team and our Vendor Partners
    • Innovate and manage a consistent measuring system that can be the foundation for quantifying improvement of both the schedule and our vendors.
    • Work with Area Construction Managers and Construction Managers to implement the coordination and enforcement of the schedule program, including schedule recovery methods such as individual schedule adjustments as approved by the Area Construction Managers.
    • Manage daily house starts and finish dates in Accounting software.
    • Work in conjunction with the Area Construction Managers and VP, Operations to develop, implement and maintain project-based schedule depending on product type and feature level
    • Coordinate weekly and monthly release forecasts with Construction Managers and Vendors
    • Perform bi-monthly site visits and safety audits as coordinated with Area Construction Managers.
    • Review and transfer coding and extend pricing of “Extra Work Orders”. Track trends and communicate accordingly with Area Construction Managers.
    • Manage construction schedules daily including calls to vendors, Construction Managers, and E-1 updates on home progress and completion. Provide foundation updates as they relate to the starts schedule.
    • Create model schedule templates and support team regarding Vendor commitments
    • E-1 software liaison to the field.
    • E-1 Work Order status update moves that include a review of costs and work orders against scope.
    • Manage Vendor metrics against schedule milestones
    • Administrative tasks as requested including such items as process improvement documentation, budget distribution, and plan issues with the design.
    • Manage office delivery schedule posting.

     

    POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

    • 3+ years of experience in construction operations.
    • High school or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
    • Strong computer skills with a working knowledge of Excel and Word
