The Role We’re looking for an Accounting & HR Assistant to support both accounting and human resources functions across multiple business locations. In this role, you’ll be the behind-the-scenes hero—keeping payroll accurate, billing smooth, benefits organized, and processes humming. Process client activations/deactivations in QuickBooks, WellSky, and billing spreadsheets.
Ensure billing accuracy, resolve issues, and process invoices for clients, LTC, and Veterans Affairs.
Process and reconcile payroll through APS (eSELFSERVE).
Review accounts receivable, contact clients on past due balances, and process payments.
HR Functions
Administer employee benefit plans, including enrollments, ACA reporting, and terminations.
Manage the APS benefits console.
Maintain and update HR forms (digital/fillable versions).
Support HR programs and assist with process improvements.
Team & Leadership
Serve as backup for payroll and A/R processing when needed.
Collaborate with colleagues and leadership to promote organizational effectiveness.
Foster a culture of care, excellence, and teamwork.
What We’re Looking For
Some experience in accounting and HR (QuickBooks, APS, WellSky = big plus).
Strong computer and organizational skills.
Excellent communication (written and spoken).
High ethical standards and ability to maintain confidentiality.
Ability to juggle priorities with accuracy and grace.
