DAY/SHIFT/HOURS: MONDAY – FRIDAY 8-5
As an employee of Union Hospital, it is the responsibility of this, and all positions within the Hospital, to support the mission and role of Union Hospital. THE LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE (LPN) WORKS UNDER THE SUPERVISION OF THE RN. THE LPN WILL DEMONSTRATE THE KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL NECESSARY TO PROVIDE QUALITY CARE BASED ON THE NURSING PROCESS AND ASSESSED PHYSICAL, PSYCHOSOCIAL, EDUCATIONAL, AND SAFETY NEEDS AS APPROPRIATE TO THE AGE OF THE PATIENT. THE LPN HELPS TO ASSESS, PLAN, IMPLEMENT AND EVALUATE NURSING CARE ACCORDING TO ORGANIZATIONAL POLICIES AND PROCEDURES. PERFORMS ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED.

Assists with completion of the nursing assessment of the patient – data elements
