    POSITION DESCRIPTION

    Our software development team provides critical enabling technology solutions for NAMM California's mission to redefine health care management through improved quality and efficient delivery of care. As an Agile Practitioner (Scrum Master), you will be part of one or more fast-paced multifunctional Scrum teams working to continuously refine and expand an innovative product portfolio that offers a broad range of management services to health care providers. We are looking an expert in Agile software delivery with a deep understanding of the Scrum framework based on practical experience. Only motivated individuals with a servant-leader mindset, exceptional people skills, consistent follow-through, quality focus, a talent for coaching people, and a brain wired for process refinement need apply. Qualified candidates must possess demonstrable experience guiding Scrum teams from formation to a high-performing mature state, and superb communication and collaboration skill s.

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Schedule, attend, and facilitate productive Scrum ceremonies (Daily Stand-up, Sprint Planning, Sprint Review, Sprint Retrospective)
    • Engender an Agile mindset among team members, convey practical understanding of the reasoning behind how the Scrum framework works, and challenge the team to continuously improve
    • Actively clear impediments blocking team progress and keep the team focused on iteration objectives
    • Quickly identify delivery risks, surface them to the team, and track through resolution
    • Support and work with the Product Owner and Delivery Team members to cultivate a healthy intra-team dynamic with respect to priorities and scope
    • Capture meaningful metrics to quickly surface delivery risks, identify process problems, evaluate process changes, and measure team improvement
    • Inculcate a quality focus among team members and ensure they stay mindful of (and avoid) the cost incurred by cutting corners in the name of expediency
    • Regularly report delivery status to department leadership and advise them on environmental factors that impede team performance

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATION:

    EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE:

    • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or related area
    • At least 4 years of relevant professional experience as a Scrum Master with a track record of developing high-performing software delivery teams
    • Certified Scrum Master (CSM)
    • In-depth knowledge of the Agile software development life cycle and implementation approaches
    • Experience with production solutions and understanding of underlying technical components (servers, databases, storage, network configuration settings, Cloud, etc. )
    • Demonstrated success working under tight deadlines with demanding quality requirements
    • Proficiency with work item and defect tracking management systems ( e.g. , Team Foundation Server, Azure DevOps, Jira, Rally, Aha!, etc. )
    • Proficiency with Visio, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
