AHF is currently seeking Interns for the Winter program: August 31 - December 11. The program will provide insight for students who have interest in the field of Managed Care, with a focus on the Quality Division. This is a paid, part-time position. YOUR CONTRIBUTION TO OUR SUCCESS! AHF is currently seeking a Managed Care - Quality Services intern. The program will be a full time internship of 40 hours per week, and will provide insight for a student who has interest in working for non-profit organization. This position is paid $13.00 hourly. Managed Care - Quality Intern This position will assist the National Quality Director of Aids Healthcare Foundation in developing, analyzing, and reporting on medical and clinical quality improvement initiatives being conducted in AHF facilities nationwide. The intern will get the opportunity to experience multiple different aspects of Quality and will get to see firsthand how it works in partnership with other departments of the health plan. Quality improvement initiatives include but are not limited to: Consumer assessment survey analysis Mental health data analysis Quality Improvement training material development Clinical measure improvement QI contract deliverable analysis Data stratification by demographic factors Referral Follow-up with Specialist Provider list validation Data validation Assistance with ICD10 Training Health Effectiveness Data Improvement Cultural Competency Research & Presentation Essential Functions: Complete PDSA cycle with thorough documentation of selected project (s) Collaborate with the National Quality Director or designee on quality improvement project design, data collection, tracking & analysis, and reporting. Responsible for collaborating with other staff including provider relations, member services, compliance, care management, and others as needed or required.
