• Review loan terms to ensure accuracy and completeness, as well as consistency with negotiated terms and investor guidelines
• Identify and resolve errors and discrepancies on estimated settlement statements
• Responsible for underwriting collateral in accordance with the Company’s credit policies and procedures
• Analyze applicant’s financial status, credit, and property evaluation to determine the feasibility of granting the loan request
• Review entity-borrower information to confirm entity structure, signing authority, and verify good standing
• Clearly and concisely communicate with various levels of the organization on loan variables, investment analysis, and borrower profiles
• Perform thorough and detailed review of loan documents
• Provide feedback and recommendations for clearing prior to document and prior to funding conditions
• Review and escalate issues related to chain of title, liens, judgments, etc
• Take on special projects as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Loan quality and risk management
• Knowledge of FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, VA, and USDA guidelines.
• Experience in high Production and fast-paced environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Good Customer/Client service
• Prioritization and Time Management
• 3+ years mortgage industry experience, with 2 years of recent underwriting or substantial processing/loan review experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, etc), Encompass, Calyx Point
