    The position collaborates directly with RRD internal sales teams and clients to ensure that sales targets are met through the conversion of incoming project requests and through the proactive identification of growth opportunities.

    RESPONSIBILITIES: Work is typically performed under no supervision, with only guidance about overall goals and objectives. Usually receive minimal to no guidance about how to complete work objectives. Must be able to define work based on evaluation of short term and long term goals of the department. Able to independently evaluate processes, identify areas of improvement, and incorporate in to overall work objectives.

    PLANT/CP SUPPORT AND SME ACTIVITIES: Provide the structure and service necessary to support activities required to prepare projects for timely and successful execution. Key responsibilities:

     Provide Plant SME support for key products and services  Provide consistent point of contact for customers seeking CP products and services  Uphold established service levels for inquiry acknowledgement and response times  Provide tactical support to sales and management providing information regarding customer issues, needs and opportunities  Assist in implementation and execution of products and services. Consult with sales and clients to understand business issues and goals, and worth towards development improved solutions to solve business needs.  Initially vet and qualify project requests and collaborate with production teams to ensure the necessary capabilities are in place and capacity is available to support project scope  Collaborate with key stakeholders to gather all necessary project information and specifications to ensure the accurate and timely completion of all deliverables, with clean handoffs and limited touches

    BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT: Proactive identification of platform growth opportunities. Key responsibilities:

     Communicate with sales and clients to identify growth opportunities, developing appropriate sales strategies  Respond to customer inquiries, gather needed sales tools and information, and follow-up on status of inquiries – adjusting sales strategy to drive conversion, as needed  Research new leads  Develop and prepare sales product presentations to win the business  Maintain up-to-date knowledge of platform products and service, industry trends, new products, competitors’ strength/weaknesses.  Present key platform products and services and provide training where necessary  Enhance customer relationships by working closely with the sales and the client to develop targeted solutions and new business opportunities  Prepare RFP’s and RFQ’s and put together sales collateral to use to secure new business and up-sell existing accounts

    Other:

     Success in this role is heavily measured by achieving established sales goals Support the company’s new business development initiatives by proactively engaging in selling activities through training, sales support and solving client problems.  Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned

    • Bachelor degree in discipline related to function work or role

    • At least 5-7 years of relevant work experience in one or more of the following areas:

    • Print sales / account management, with a focus on the products associated with commercial print 

    • OR

    • Demonstrated ability to meet job requirements through a comparable number of years of applicable work experience
