    SEARHC is seeking a Primary Care or Internal Medicine Physician with the passion and skills to deliver high quality rural medicine in a friendly frontier town. Our Health Center(s) are part of the SouthEast Alaska Regional Health Consortium (SEARHC), a Native-run health organization serving communities throughout Southeast Alaska since 1975. Wrangell, Haines, Sitka and Juneau are vibrant and friendly Alaskan towns centered on a healthy and safe quality of life.     Our physicians enjoy a diverse clinical practice, are leaders of the healthcare team, coaches and mentors, and make a positive difference in the everyday lives of our given community. Our Health Center medical team is dedicated to providing outstanding family medicine and emergency department coverage to residents in the SEARHC region.

    Required Skills

      M.D. or D.O. degree Completion of an accredited family practice, internal medicine or emergency medicine residency or a four year Med/Peds program.

     Board Certification or eligibility through the American Board of Family Medicine or another pertinent board, i.e., Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Pediatrics.

     Experience providing treatment for patients of all ages. ACLS and PALs must be completed within six months of hire.

     Active, unrestricted Alaska Medical License issued by the Alaska State Medical Board. Active, unrestricted DEA license.

     PALS, ACLS and ATLS certification are desired.

     Ongoing continuing medical education to maintain clinical knowledge and skills to meet staff licensure requirements.
