Radiologic Technologist II - Nome, Alaska - Norton Sound Health Corporation
Perform and provide General Imaging, CT Scan, and Mammography exams during normal business hours.
Uphold the organization’s vision, mission, and corporate values. Demonstrate understanding of and compliance with organization’s policies, procedures, code of conduct and work rules.
Essential Functions:
General Imaging:
Produce radiographic images (x-rays) to aid in the diagnosis of medical problems and complete required documentation
Perform Bone Density scans – Dexa Scan
CT Scan:
Produce radiographic images (x-rays) to aid in the diagnosis of medical problems and complete required documentation
Rotate on call for General Imaging and CT
Mammography:
Perform Screening and Diagnostic exams
Maintain tracking system and documentation:
All Mammographic results
Code 4 and 5 results
Conduct quality control and assurance testing, and record findings per MQSA/FDA regulations
Maintain hospital accreditation by participating in inspections and correcting any deficiencies:
MQSA/FDA every year
ACR every three years
Update operations manual in accordance with FDA/MQSA/ACR regulations
Perform other duties as assigned

Required Experience
Bachelor's Degree ( Preferred) in Radiologic Technology
2 years General ( Non-supervisory) working as a Radiologic Technologist
American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT) required.
Second modality certification preferred: CT Scan, Mammography
If not certified in CT, must obtain within 12 months
If not certified in Mammography, must obtain to work in modality
Physical Requirements:
∙Use hands and arms to operate office or clinical equipment
∙Sit less than half the workday
∙Stand and/or walk more than half the workday
∙Bend, stretch, twist, crouch and/or reach
∙View electronic monitors for prolonged periods of time
∙Use hands and arms for repetitive motion tasks
∙Lift or carry unaided 25 to 50 pounds
∙Push or pull using up to moderate force
∙See and hear with normal acuity
Working Conditions:
∙Work is conducted in a standard office environment
∙Work is conducted in a standard clinical environment to include exposure to latex, biohazrd or other harmful substances
∙Some travel is required (between 25 and 50% of the time)
∙Travel is required via small (less than 16 passenger) aircraft
∙Travel is required using snowmobiles, all terrain vehicles, or boat
