  • Responsibilities

    Ultrasound: Perform clinical sonographic services by locating, evaluating, and recording pertinent anatomical, pathological, and functional data using ultrasound equipment to aid a physician in diagnostic procedures.

    Radiologic Technologist: Perform and provide general imaging, CT Scan, or DEXA exams during normal business hours.

    Essential Functions:

    Ultrasound

     

    • Perform ultrasound imaging and Doppler studies to include abdominal, pelvic, OB/GYN, transvaginal, vascular, breast, and small parts (thyroid, testicular) to obtain optimum images for diagnostic evaluations
    • Note velocities, measure structures, and document adequate clinical history as needed for accurate interpretation by the Radiologist
    • Perform other duties as assignedRadiologic Technologis 
    • Arrange patients for general imaging, CT Scan, DEXA, and mammography
    • Prevent patient from being exposed to unnecessary radiation exposure following the ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) principle
    • General Imaging
    • Produce radiographic images (x-rays) to aid in the diagnosis of medical problems and complete required documentation
    • Perform bone density scans – DEXA Scan

     

    CT Scan

    • Produce radiographic images (x-rays) to aid in the diagnosis of medical problems and complete required documentation
    • Perform other duties as assigned

    Required Knowledge:

    Knowledge of Ultrasound scanning procedures and Tech notes paperwork completion

     

     Radiologic Technologist: Job-Specific Knowledge:

    General Imaging

    • Bone density training preferred

    CT Scan imaging, GE preferred

    • Power injectors, Medrad preferred

    Required Experience

    Bachelors degree (preferred) in Ultrasound Technology and Radiologic Technology

    Two years experience (four preferred) working as an Ultrasound Technologist plus two years working as Radiologic Technologist

    Licensure/Certification: ARDMS or equivalent, BLS, ARRT required. Second modality certification preferred: CT Scan
