Radiologic Technologist - Nome, Alaska - Norton Sound Health Corporation
Perform MRI exams while providing excellent patient care.

Performs exams and all aspects of MRI utilizing established protocols, including utilization of equipment, exam protocols, documentation in EMR, RIS and PACS, and transfers images for interpretation
Maintains patient safety by obtaining a medical history, utilizing the MRI questionnaire, reviewing the patient’s EMR, and contacting physicians for pertinent information as needed
Proficiency in use of Ferroguard Assure metal detection system
Utilize power injector, or hand inject as needed, for optimal contrast enhancement
Observes patient’s condition, both physical and emotional, to provide appropriate patient care pre, post, and during exam
Completes appropriate documentation in patient’s EMR and network computers
Ensures routing of images to PACS and to Radiologists
Performs other duties as assigned
General Imaging
Produce radiographic images (x-rays) to aid in the diagnosis of medical problems and complete required documentation
Perform Bone Density scans – Dexa Scan
CT SCAN
Produce radiographic images (x-rays) to aid in the diagnosis of medical problems and complete required documentation
Rotate on call for General Imaging and CT
Mammography
Perform Screening and Diagnostic exams
Maintain tracking system and documentation:
All Mammographic results
Code 4 and 5 results
Conduct quality control and assurance testing, and record findings per MQSA/FDA regulations
Maintain hospital accreditation by participating in inspections and correcting any deficiencies:
MQSA/FDA every year
ACR every three years
Update operations manual in accordance with FDA/MQSA/ACR regulations

Required Experience
2 Years of working as an MRI Technologist
Must have ARRT with MRI Certification and Basic Life Support
