    THIS POSITION WORKS OUT OF THE DOWNTOWN MINNEAPOLIS OFFICE AND MAY REQUIRE TRAVEL TO THE RRD CHASKA, SHAKOPEE AND CHANHASSEN FACILITIES. 

    This is an inside sales position where the Internal Account Manager is responsible for maintaining and expanding the relationships with clients and ensuring the overall customer experience is positive by leveraging the RRD capabilities. The primary focus of this position will be to lead the strategic management of client relationships – manage customer inquiries regarding orders in process and future orders pending, ensure assigned customers’ needs and expectations are being met, identify process gaps, aid in the management of customer issues and resolution, engage in resource/project allocation, manage volume and capacity of work, and maintain consistent, effective communication with the client and Internal leadership. 

    • Serve as primary day-to-day contact for Client partners. Work with them to review & understand project/program details.
    • Monitor production status on all orders from Estimating through invoicing; ensuring price and quantity accuracy
    • Assist with materials planning, capacity planning, monthly metrics, and overall business forecasting where applicable
    • Create procedures and job aids for all tasks or processes
    • Support the overall business goals by performing additional duties as assigned or requested
    • Make suggestions to customers regarding workflow/process improvements to proposed jobs to maximize the benefits to both the customer and the company.
    • Assist in the implementation and execution of products and services. Consult with customers to understand business issues and goals, and works with customers to develop improved solutions to business needs
    • Confer with customers throughout production to keep them informed of the status of jobs, solicit additional information needed for current jobs and coordinate changes to jobs.  May forward/review proofs with customer; obtain approval of materials, such as artwork, color separations, or ink samples.
    • Coordinate the resolution of customer or manufacturing issues with projects.  Engage appropriate departments to verify the issue and determine the root case. May make recommendations to management on appropriate response to issues that are in the best interest of the customer and the company.  Communicate with customers regarding the resolution of issues. 
    • May have responsibility for determining the use of vendors to supply component of the customer product.
    • May mentor junior level Account staff or work on special projects.

    Required Skills

    • BA/BS degree preferred or equivalent related work experience
    • 3+ years of print production experience
    • Comprehensive understanding of printing, letter shop and fulfillment industry
    • Experience with offset & digital printing
    • Experience with variable data printing & mailing
    • Intermediate knowledge of MS Excel
    • Self-starter with excellent communication, organizational, process planning, decision making, analytical and implementation skills
    • Must possess a high level of attention to detail
    • Proven ability to manage own work flow, prioritize and meet deadlines while responding to demands of the customer (internal and external)
    • Independent worker who can rely on extensive experience to solution for problems that are not routine.
    • Must be able to modify communication style both formal and informal to match the target audience
    • MUST HAVE MS EXCEL ASSOCIATE & EXPERT CERTIFICATION.
