    Coordinate and assist job planning for the large format digital print department. As the primary subject matter expert for the department, will work closely with Customer Service, Sales, and large format digital equipment operators to facilitate accurate and efficient performance of large format digital print devices (HP, EFI, Zund).  Familiarity with printing on a wide variety of substrate materials (paper stocks, board stocks, vinyl, plastics, metals, etc.) is critical. Maintain an accurate record of the large format digital material substrate inventory. Provide technical assistance and problem solving to functional manufacturing areas.  Monitor the production floor to assess technical needs of the departments.  Provide technical training as needed.  Perform administrative and record keeping responsibilities. Prepare reports for management as required. Other duties as assigned by the department supervisor.

    Required Skills

    • 5 years operational experience in Large Format Digital production. (HP, EFI, experience preferred)
    • Experience with a wide variety of substrates (paper, board, vinyl, plastic, metal, etc.)
    • Able to advise customers on aspects of physical design and job engineering of displays, signs, banners and any associated hardware items
    • Knowledge and understanding of handling pre-media files and using RIPS (Caldera, Fiery) and color graphics software programs
    • Ability to troubleshoot machine issues and assist operators with equipment problems
    • Commitment to provide a high level of internal and external customer service
    • Communicate well (oral and written). Excellent organizational skills. Detail-oriented
    • Flexibility to work overtime as needed
    • Above average mechanical skills/ability required.
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office programs
    • Ability to read, write and understand English
