  • Responsibilities

    Responsible for the day-to-day operations of SOAP as well as Drop-In Center activities. Oversees program implementation, guides program development and activities, and provides direct client services.

    JOB DUTIES

    • Adheres to all grant requirements, and the timely submission and accuracy of all grant reports
    • Collaborates services among the Youth and Young Adults Projects by providing consistent vision, leadership and operational oversight
    • Works in compliance with Administration to Children and Families (ACF)
    • Oversees project accountability and ensures quality of services as well as compliance with grant regulations, appropriation and use of funds, and project sustainability
    • Participates as a member of project management team
    • Attends grantee meetings
    • Meets with evaluator during on-site visits to assess project progress and challenges
    • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

     

     

    Required Skills

    NECESSARY KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY

    • Knowledge of outreach education and case management
    • Skill in working with consumers with mental health/substance use disorders
    • Skill in managing multiple priorities and tasks concurrently and meet deadlines
    • Skill in verbal and digital communication; effective organizational skills and written, analytical, verbal and interpersonal skills
    • Skill in establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships with colleagues, supervisors, agencies, and consumers
    • Ability providing culturally specific programming, understanding and sensitivity to diverse cultures and lifestyles
    • Ability to demonstrate cooperative behavior with colleagues, supervisors and clients
    • Ability to work independently as well as with teams

    Required Experience

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (Education & Experience)

    • Associate’s degree in related field
    • Must have minimum of three (3) years experience providing project management
    • Two (2) years of experience in substance abuse
    • Two (2) years of experience in Behavioral Health
    • Past experience working with Alaska Natives/American Indians
    • A combination of experience, education, and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may substitute for degree requirements

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (Education & Experience)

    • Bachelor’s degree in related field
    • One year experience working with high-risk youth
