    POSITION DESCRIPTION

     

    The Email Marketing Strategist position is responsible for leading and building and optimizing digital marketing strategies – focused primarily on Email, SMS, Search, SEO, Display, Social, Affiliate, Referral, etc.   The ideal candidate is a highly passionate, collaborative, and results oriented leader.  Extensive subject matter expertise in all things digital – including a deep understanding of data and audiences that drive digital strategies.  Specifically, the position is charged with deepening (growing revenue) and strengthening RRD’s relationships with clients through strategic insights and guidance.  This role will be responsible for devising and delivering ongoing digital strategies for one larger client or a small portfolio of clients, primarily within email, SMS, and social channels. 

     

     

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

     

    • Grow RRD's business (revenue) within client consulting assignments
    • Work with clients and senior team counterparts to uncover business needs and objectives, craft appropriate digital strategies, and identify / implement solutions to help achieve client goals
    • Interrogate data, campaign results, market trends and competitor insights to identify opportunities and anticipate any issues that might lead increase business or a lack of performance
    • Coordinate the preparation of immaculate client-facing presentations, and deliver them clearly and compellingly
    • Maintain the agency’s high client retention rate by fostering deeper client relationships through digital driven consulting. Increase client satisfaction.
    • Maintaining a thorough understanding of your clients’ sectors and market trends, thus positioning RRD as experts in the area
    • Discover new ways for clients to engage with existing customers and attract new ones by evaluating current digital marketing strategies
    • Develop holistic online marketing strategies that compliment client goals and objectives including website optimization, traffic and conversion strategies as well as content strategies.
    • Evaluate new emerging media or technologies and make recommendations for their application within digital marketing campaigns
    • Suggest or implement improvements in digital areas like SEO, social media, banner ads, and website design – with primary focus on email marketing
    • Improve customer engagement and communications with creative social media, email, mobile or local digital marketing campaigns

     

    SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES

     

    • Support new business process and sales team on an as needed basis – including identifying appropriate RRD solution/approach as well as crafting and delivering presentation materials
    • Leveraging your digital marketing experience and expertise, spearhead the development and enablement across the larger client management team

     

     

    Required Skills

    • Undergraduate business degree required, digital certifications a plus
    • Experience (minimum 10 years) as Digital Marketing professional with significant experience with Email and SMS channels
    • Credible leadership skills, capable of motivating agency teams and promoting the trust of our clients. Demonstrated ability to successfully manage and/or supervise all the activity needed by internal Precision Dialogue resources to deliver effective client solutions on time and on budget
    • Impeccable knowledge of digital marketing and the key digital channels and their challenges – SEO, PPC, Display, Creative and Email in particular
    • Strong knowledge of digital analytics, attribution, and associated tools
    • Understanding of e-commerce and the challenges particular to online retail is a plus
    • Requires a broad, general knowledge and best practice understanding of digital channels and the way in which they function together
    • Demonstrated track record of client relationship development in the digital marketing consultant role
    • Proven experience in managing teams working cross-functionally within an organization
    • Demonstrated ability to engender client loyalty and confidence.
    • Demonstrated ability to create and implement strategic marketing thoughts and plans. Function as a solutions architect to solve client marketing and business needs by leveraging digital marketing channels
    • Ability to increase business from existing clients through the identification of new sales opportunities
    • Ability to help solve internal process, structure, or business challenges
    • Excellent multitasking skills, a creative way of thinking and an impeccable understanding of how brands operate
    • Ability to support new business efforts -- including leading written RFI/RFP response as well as present RRD capabilities and service offerings
    • Highly motivated, undaunted by rewarding hard work, and passionate about digital
    • Skilled at prioritizing and managing your time across multiple clients in a fast-paced working environment
    • Excellent interpersonal, communication (written and presentation) and negotiation skills. Strong networking skills, confident at developing new relationships
