    Eklutna Tribal Conservation District (ETCD) is seeking qualified applicants for the following position: Title: Agriculture and Education Coordinator This is a contract position reporting to ETCD Co-Coordinators Compensation: $20,000 per year for 2 years to start, dispensed monthly Application Deadline: July 30, 2021

    Position Summary:

    The Agriculture and Education Coordinator will work with ETCD, Alaska Village Initiatives, and others to: Plan, install and manage greenhouses, hydroponic and other gardens for ETCD. The position will also develop, manage and instruct cultural resources and conservation education projects, prominently including small scale sustainable agricultural education.

    Required Skills

    Qualifications: • Knowledge and experience (K&E) of small- scale agriculture (gardens and greenhouses) and hydroponics • K&E of design, development and management of gardens, greenhouses and hydroponics • Ability to lead gardening classes for ages K – Elders, and develop other cultural resources educational projects • K&E of native plants • Willing to work irregular hours as needed • K&E with obtaining and managing grants • Experience with Native organizations • Contractor capacity and insurance desirable
