    The primary responsibility is to lead and implement all Process Engineering activities for the Green Bay/De Pere facilities.  Identify fundamental processes, design test methods and protocols, collect and interpret experimental data, perform systems integration and final testing to ensure reliable and world-class product delivery. Project management for new equipment integration. Windows system support.   Responsibilities: Project management, Imaging systems support, continuous improvement.  

    • Uses test results to determine fundamental development focal areas, and needed engineering tasks and skills to move these focal areas to completion.
    • Sets timetables and milestones for assigned project tasks.
    • Constructs and applies appropriate acceptance criteria for equipment and or process purchases.
    • May direct responsibility for project creation, timeline and management of project capital/expense.
    • Works closely and cross-functionally with other engineers, technicians and manufacturing personnel to produce end product.
    • Performs varied work and works on problems of moderate scope and complexity using tools and resources both internal and external.
    • Understands project direction and exercises discretion and independent judgment on most tasks.  Works under broad supervision.
    • Performs other related duties and participates in special projects as assigned.
    • Perform training for new applications and imaging systems.

    Required Skills Required Experience

    Bachelor degree in Manufactureing/Industrial/Process Engineering or Equivalent or role with up to 3 years of relevant work experience OR demonstrated ability to meet the job requirements through a comparable number of years of applicable work experience.

    • Able to translate previous work experience into good problem-solving skills and appropriately apply proven solutions.   Consistently deliver prescribed outcomes in a timely and accurate manner with appropriate guidance.  Apply existing processes and procedures to solve problems and may receive guidance for problems that are non-routine.  
    • Able to apply very good functional computer knowledge in utilizing Microsoft Windows, MAC or other technical tools to complete work assignments.   May require knowledge of, or ability to, quickly learn spealized software realted to the position.
    • Requires good communicaion skills, both verbal and written.  Able to undersand general business concepts and apply them when cummunicating with diverse groups of people when completing work assignments

    5S/Lean Training and ability to teach these valuable manufacturing skills is a plus!

  • Qualifications

     

     

    Essential Functions: This list is ILLUSTRATIVE ONLY and is not a comprehensive listing of all functions and tasks performed by incumbent(s).

     

    Representative Duties: Under the direct supervision of the CAIHC Laboratory Director job incumbent:

     

    • Supports and oversees general laboratory and point-of-care testing in sub regional clinics and villages as needed.
    • Will be designated by CAIHC Laboratory Director to monitoring moderately complex testing in the sub-region clinic; Upper Tanana Health Clinic Laboratory.
    • A minimum of 10 business days a month will be spent in Tok, AK at Upper Tanana Health Clinic Laboratory. Days worked in UTHC Laboratory will encompass collecting and performing Moderate Complexity Testing and ensuring that all designated QC, QM/QA is maintained within COLA, CLIA guidelines under the supervision of the Laboratory Director.
    • The colleague will coordinate travel and work schedule/location to best the needs of the Laboratory and the colleague's availability.
    • Periodically travels to rural villages for, training, maintenance, review, or other activities related to the functioning of moderate complexity laboratories, when applicable, and point-of-care testing in the rural villages. Periodically travels to rural villages for evaluation of provider performed microscopy competencies.
    • Designated to assist the Community Health Aide Program (CHAP) with specific Point of Care Laboratory education; working with the Community Health Aide Instructors (CI's). Periodic remote training for CHAP members via the CHAP Training Center.
    • Maintain accurate patient records; maintain patient confidentiality.
    • Perform related technical and administrative duties and responsibilities as required.
    • Partners with clinic staff in the design, development, and implementation of policies and procedures surrounding POC/waived testing. Manages PPMP program.
    • Prepares instructional/review materials; performs/facilitates training.
    • Assists in evaluation of new POCT and Moderate Complexity instrumentation and supplies.
    • Maintains records to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies.
    • Troubleshoots incidents or difficulties with POCT and Moderate Complexity Testing.
    • Serves as liaison between laboratory and POCT staff.
    • With the Laboratory Director, represents POCT areas during accreditation inspections.
    • Follows established laboratory procedures for specimen handling, processing, test analysis, reporting and maintaining records of patient test results.
    • Performs scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on POC instruments and Moderate Complexity Testing. Implements and monitors quality control, and advises on a course of action when values are out of range.
    • Maintains proficiency in phlebotomy skills and advises on blood specimen collection requirements from patients. Evaluates specimens received for testing to determine suitability for testing.
    • Maintains all record keeping systems in compliance with established procedures. Enters and verifies results using the laboratory information system.
    • Assists, in orientation of new employees and other medical personnel. Participates in quality improvement process/projects, both in the lab and the rural villages.
    • Responds in case of an internal or external disaster.
    • Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of the developmental stages of patients throughout the continuum of life as they relate to the collection of specimens and the interpretation of results.
    • Responsible to access the knowledge and skills of village staff in the areas of principles of growth and developmental stages of patients throughout the continuum of life as they relate to the collection of specimens and the interpretation of results.
    • Is clear and concise, both verbally and in writing when communicating with staff and the public. Builds effective, supportive relationships with co-workers and internal/external customers. Uses positive interpersonal skills to promote success of team members and promote laboratory and health center goals.
