  • Responsibilities

    The Desktop Publishing Lead is responsible for coordinating with offshore team and facilitate processing of digital files, resulting in the manufacture of digitally created proofs, or various outputs, digital or print related, that satisfies the specifications of the customer. This position may review proofs, instructions or customer requirements and perform simple /quick changes to page layouts or inserts, act as a communication bridge between customers and offshore desktop publishing specialists. This position may also develop and maintain relationships with key clients, providing excellent customer service and giving clear communication of client expectations.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:  Gather requirements from customer, communicates instructions in simple format for the offshore team to action on those requests  Participate in conference calls and provide inputs on system enhancements for technology teams  Work as part of a global production team and support other regions when required  Recommend workflow revisions and efficiency gains to customers by working with Operations and Account management  Provide feedback on a monthly/quarterly basis to offshore managers on team performance  May be required to provide in-person training for new hires if necessary  Utilize knowledge of MS Word, MS Powerpoint and MS Excel to create reports for customers as required  Operates and integrates digital equipment at an advanced level using a wide range of application software on multiple platforms to produce end product for client.  Analyzes and solves problems related to customer supplied files or images.  Performs work for high-profile clients, which is substantially varied and complex. Works on diverse scope, which requires in-depth analysis.  Serves as a direct liaison between the client, and division, ensuring timely and accurate production of the client’s product. Can serve as the primary customer contact for on-boarding and technical support.  May develop workflows and systems to support business operations, including database set-up, file conversions, file management and automated scripts.  May supervise or lead the implementation of various projects, including planning and scheduling while interacting with the customer and technology team.  Demonstrates a working knowledge of all application software relevant to the processes used.  Develops plans, designs and implements workflows, strategize with the customer and delivers services which will attract and retain customers.  Works under minimal supervision, regularly exercising discretion and independent judgment involving complex tasks.

     Performs other related duties and participates in special projects as assigned.

    The national pay range for this role is $69,900 to $114,900 annually. The pay range may be slightly lower or higher based on the geographic location of the hired employee. The actual pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift and location. In addition to base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include participation in a bonus, commission or incentive program.
