Careers Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Aledade Partner Practice Openings Danville, Virginia Description We are currently seeking either a part-time or full-time, experienced, energetic and enthusiastic Mid-Level Provider, either a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner. We are a multi physician family practice group looking to add to our amazing staff. As a private practice facility, you are able to practice medicine in an environment where patient care is your primary focus. We offer competitive pay and benefits. Responsibilities and Duties: * The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant shall render necessary and appropriate primary and urgent services within the scope of the applicant's training and experience, under the supervision of the supervising physician but must have the ability to work independently. * The Nurse Practitioner or Physician's Assistant shall render the services to eligible members including, but not limited to: * Family Health Care, Medical histories and physical examinations. * Conduct Fitness and wellness evaluations. * Conduct alcohol and drug screenings as indicated. * Evaluate acute concerns and develop treatment plan. * Medication prescriptions, if applicable, and related to follow-up care. * Formulate care plans from member's database and diagnostic test results * Communicate with members regarding management of minor and chronic medical problems. * Confer with supervising physicians on a regular basis to provide continuity of patient care. * Communicate with members and member's family regarding health and patient management issues. * Make referrals for consultative services after review and coordination of such services with a supervising physician. * Arrange for acute care when conditions for same are indicated. * Report life-threatening illnesses to the supervising physicians or to a consulting physician in the specialty the illness falls. * The Nurse Practitioner or Physician's Assistant will develop, in collaboration with, the physicians protocol to address routine chief complaints to streamline acceptable treatment plans. * Other duties as may be directed by the supervising physician(s). Education, Skills and Experience: Qualifications and Skills * Registered nurse with advanced training as Adult Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) or Family Nurse Practitioner FNP or state certified Physician's Assistant (PA) * One year of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician's Assistant preferred. * Experience in family practice or urgent care setting. * Strong communication and customer service skills. * Experience with Electronic Health Record preferred * Ability to work with a variety of clinics, ancillary and support staff creating a collaborative atmosphere of teamwork. * Ability to develop knowledge of and utilize organizational resources. * Very good computer skills PC software i.e. Microsoft Office applications. * Strong oral and written communication skills
