Under the supervision of the RN/LPN or designee in charge of the nursing unit, the Resident Care Assistant performs basic and repetitive nursing services to the residents at Allied Services Skilled nursing Center and assists in maintenance of a safe and clean environment.

Assigned duties are implemented in a manner appropriate to the age-specific needs of the individuals served.

EDUCATION:

High school diploma or GED required

WORK EXPERIENCE:

No experience necessary.

Responds to call-bells, communicates needs and receives messages.

Transports residents throughout the facility as needed.

Passes supplements and documents consumption.

Maintains resident area and keep equipment clean and orderly including making of beds.

Participates in resident activities (i.e. exercise groups and one-on-one supervision).

Distributes water to the residents.

Performs labeling of residents belongings.

Keeps belongings of the residents neat and orderly.

Distributes food trays and collects trays. Calculates meal consumption and fluid intake.
