    McKean is seeking a Business Systems Analyst to support the Fleet Maritime Maintenance and IT Project Management efforts at Fleet Forces Command. The analyst will be responsible for interfacing with government clients, as the Business Systems Analyst on all projects related to the work under the contract. Provides afloat maritime maintenance experience to assigned deliverables under the contract. Provides recommendations and reports changes or updates to appropriate task leads. Works with software development teams to educate them on the end to end process of the afloat maintenance, repair, and overhaul process. Research and provide recommendations for ensuring maintenance IT software follows maintenance processes in the most efficient manner. Analyze new IT solutions/products for compliance with U.S. Navy maintenance processes and policies and provide implementation recommendations for identified solutions/products.

    Required Skills

     

    • Candidates must possess and maintain an active Secret level security clearance. Must have Secret upon hire.
    • Self-starter with the ability to work effectively with little or no supervision, in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
    • Strong research, analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Strong interpersonal skills to interact with management and key stakeholders successfully
    • Strong hands-on, can-do attitude, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to work in teams of technical and non-technical experts
    • Experience with developing and presenting technical information to non-technical audiences and clients through oral and written communication
    • Ability to communicate professionally and efficiently both verbally and in writing

    Required Experience

    • A high school diploma, or a GED, and more than 10 years of relevant experience, or a bachelor's degree in a relevant field and five years of relevant experience, or a master's degree in a relevant field and three years of relevant experience.
    • Experience in the process of ordering tools, parts, and test equipment for afloat U.S. Navy platforms
    • Experience with U.S. Navy preventative maintenance system and processes
    • Experience with writing 2-Kilos and ordering parts

     

    Desired:

    • Experience with Human Centered Design practices and the ability to apply practices to cross-functional areas
    • Recently separated or retired from active duty; have a sailor-centric mentality.  
    • The role requires the ability to work with a variety of individuals, high level all the way down to the Sailors on the deckplates, so professional articulation is also key.
    • Retired 3MC or ITC (with engineering experience)
