(P) -Responsibilities Working with specific mentors on 3-4 ongoing research projects within Courage Kenny Research Center -Develop and implement research projects as assigned. -Assisting Courage Kenny Research Center team members with data reporting. This will involve inputting new data accurately onto RedCap (or similar) databases using either direct or bulk entry techniques and adhering to the style policies of Allina. This will also include performing audits on the data as directed using database queries or via excel spreadsheets. -Create and carry out a cohesive plan for each assigned project. Establish and maintain contact with all appropriate individuals to ensure that the plan is implemented in the best interest of the organization. -Assisting in implementation of Research Projects managed through CKRI within a clinical setting. Providing assistance on research studies as per study guidelines and protocols. -Preparing literature reviews, assisting with IRB preparations, as well as manuscript and presentation preparations. -Education High School Diploma. College level experience preferred. Prior research experience preferred. -Qualification/Skills A background in Biology required. -1-2 years of research experience necessary either through previous internship, work experience, or course work. -Strong initiative and judgment with exceptional decision-making skills. -Able to produce high volumes of work to deadlines and with accuracy. -Demonstrable problem solving and research skills. -Excellent interpersonal skills are required for interfacing with study teams with diverse backgrounds. -Analytical skills and the ability to resolve technical or research problems and issues and to interpret the acceptability of data results. -Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook). Other applications could be desired in assigned areas. -Work Schedule This is a part-time summer internship.
