    Neuropsychologist II - Inpatient Rehab - Part Time Days Alta Bates Summit Medical Center is San Francisco East Bay's largest private, not-for-profit medical center with a total of 1,082 licensed beds. Each of our campuses has 24-hour emergency, obstetric and medical/surgical services in both Oakland and Berkeley. Rehabilitation Neuropsychologist provides services that identify, prevent, remediate and rehabilitate acute or chronic, cognitive, emotional or behavioral dysfunctions or pain. Has responsibility and accountability for the identification, quantification, description, and treatment or changes in behavior which are associated with brain dysfunction in patients referred by physicians. Such diagnostics or therapy encompasses evaluation and analysis of patients and therapeutic application of psychological, behavioral, bioelectric agents, exercises and other procedures to maximize functional independence. Functions as a member of the Rehabilitation Team. Persons served range from adolescence to late adulthood. In addition to the minimum qualifications and essential job functions, each employee shall meet established age and skill specific competencies. Skill competencies requiring additional development will be identified in the first year of employment and addressed annually in the employee's performance plan. Education: Graduate with PH.D or equivalent in an A.P.A. Accredited Clinical Psychology program with a specialization in Neuropsychology. Completion of a 1 year A.P.A. approved internship program with specialization in Neurospsychology. Completion of post doctoral level experience in Clinical Neuropsychology (two years preferred). Experience: According to Career Ladder, a minimum of 2 years at ABSMC with an "Exceeds Expectations"on prior performance evaluation. May "Fast track" into NP II position with 3 years post doctoral level experience as a licensed psychologist with a minimum of two years in specialty area. At the end of the probationary period for the "fast track" position, must have an overall rating of "meets expectations" on performance evaluation. Licensure or Certification: Current California license as Clinical Psychologist or license from another state with eligibility to complete California psychology license requirements within 6 months of hire. Hospital experience and all requirements must be met for obtaining hospital privileges.
