The Program Manager will oversee activities of assigned programs/facilities for DD services. Thorough knowledge of assigned programs is required, including social work theories, interventions, evaluation techniques and treatment systems. The Program Manager will demonstrate leadership skills, in order to ensure clients are engaged on a routine basis, utilizing cognitive behavioral techniques, fostering and promoting healthy decision making and positive interpersonal skills. They will maintain confidentiality of client and employee information, files, data and develop and implement operational goals and objectives. They will act as a community advocate in order to foster and promote good neighborhood perspectives, observances and experiences. They will perform direct supervisory tasks including interviewing, selecting employees, recommending discipline, responding to grievances, conducting performance appraisals, approving/denying leave requests and conducting staff meetings. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors Degree in psychology, social work, criminal justice or other related field. Two years experience in supervisory capacity in lieu of education. DD experience heavily preferred.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Must possess a valid Ohio Driver's License; must pass a criminal background check; must pass a pre-employment drug screening; must complete 40 hours of in-service training on an annual basis.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: May be exposed to harsh language and potentially violent clients; may be exposed to unusual notices, odors; may work alone or as part of a team
