    About American Family Care American Family Care (AFC) is one of the largest primary and urgent care companies in the U.S. providing services seven days a week on a walk-in basis. Our state-of-the-art centers focus on the episodic treatment of acute illnesses and injuries, workers compensation and occupational medicine. Each location is equipped with an onsite lab and in house x-ray capability.

    AFC is the parent company of AFC Franchising, LLC and this position will be in that division, working directly with franchise owners of American Family Care centers.

    Summary AFC is looking to fill the role of FRANCHISE BUSINESS CONSULTANT (FBC) in the Midwest Regions covering OH, MI, IL, NE, MO, KS and MN and potentially other locations. The FBC will directly report to a Director, Franchise Operations and will provide operational analysis and educational training to franchisees. The FBC is also responsible for, among other duties, maintaining and enhancing existing business operations of franchise centers. The FBC will work directly with franchisees to help them maximize the revenue and profitability of the center and territory through corporate program promotions, marketing, building & improving best practices and processes, business strategies and ongoing training.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Conduct regular on-site visits and audits of assigned Franchise centers
    • Ensure physical facilities and business operations of assigned Franchisee locations comply with Franchisor standards.
    • Support Franchisee during center pre-opening phase including, but not limited to, following a detailed task check list that includes project management of all phases of opening an urgent care center, such as site selection, floor plan approval, practice management software training and business planning
    • Coordinate all training activities with the appropriate departments/individuals and  ensure that all training materials and resources have been directed to the appropriate parties
    • Conduct consultation calls on a regular basis regarding urgent care operations management, customer/patient relations improvement, new center Go Live training and Grand Opening events, marketing and advertising planning, and financial analyses including P&L review and projections and other company initiatives
    • Monitor the financial status, operations, staffing, advertising and  overall management of assigned Franchise locations by in center visits and by using company and external platforms
    • Run reports in various systems, such as EHRs and FranConnect, and review KPIs
    • Assist franchisee in developing strategic plans and assist franchisee in translating that plan into the appropriate activities
    • Conduct on-site educational workshops with Franchise groups
    • Be well versed in the Franchisor’s Operations Manual, Brand Standards Guide, Franchise Disclosure Document, Franchise Agreement, and other documents
    • Provide necessary direction and assistance to Franchisees for development and improvement of business plans, including: establishing specific goals, sales and marketing strategies, operational improvement, inventory management and profit goals
    • Complete any and all month end reports, new store follow-up reports, weekly expense reports and preparation of classes
    • Coordinate any and all resources and support from all appropriate departments for assigned Franchisees
    • Cultivate and preserve Franchisee/vendor relationships
    • Ensure implementation of all company policies, procedures, programs and new concepts with assigned Franchisee locations
    • Strictly adhere to Company and departmental policies and procedures regarding the appropriate use of Company databases
    • Develop and maintain proficiency in the use of the Company’s database
    • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

    Qualifications

    • Residence in Midwest Region near major airport preferred
    • Multi-Unit Urgent Care and/or Primary Care center operational management experience preferred
    • EHR experience preferred
    • Ability to travel up to 50% of time
    • Center management experience or Healthcare operations experience
    • Superior people skills
    • Well-developed oral and written communication skills
    • Strong listening and negotiation skills
    • Dynamic presentation skills

    Educational Requirements

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Health Care Management or related field
    • Minimum 3 years Business Management and/or Healthcare Experience required
