Planner I -Boulder County Boulder,COUnited States Boulder County Land Use Department is seeking a dynamic individual to fill aPlanner Iposition with the Development Review Team. This position is a member of a dynamic team committed to providing the best in public service and ensuring the community has a viable, sustainable, and safe future. This is an entry level position that works extensively with the public and is responsible for performing a variety of development review related work in a highly professional manner. This is a full-time, benefited position with Boulder County. Work hours are Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. The Planner II will work out of Boulder. Under FLSA guidelines, this position is exempt from overtime. Hiring range: $49,944 - $53,000 annually Full salary range: $49,944.00 - $71,952.00 annually -Examples of Duties -Provide information and assistance to developers, designers, and the public regarding planning related matters and the Land Use Code; -Review development proposals, and prepare and present staff recommendations; -Conduct pre-application meetings with a wide range of potential applicants - land owners, developers, attorneys, real estate agents to explain departmental procedures, land use regulations, and County policies, as applicable. -Review submitted building permit applications and coordinate with building division staff to approve permits; -Prepare maps and presentations, and conduct in-depth property research; -Perform other related duties as required. -Required Qualifications PLEASE NOTE:When submitting your application be sure to include all relevant education and experience, as applications are screened based on the qualifications listed in this position announcement.
