Archrock is offering an exciting internship opportunity in our Applications department. This is a 10 week internship
Rotation 1
Applications Engineering
Duration: 2-3 weeks
Goals/Objectives:
Obtain general understanding of compression: reciprocating gas compressors and major components, equipment variations, applications, basic gas laws, site conditions, etc.
Ariel Performance Program software and understanding performance runs
Build performances by gathering relevant equipment information from unit files, idle list, and operations
Introduction to equipment selection for specific site conditions and the path an opportunity takes
Rotation 2
Engineering
Duration: 2-3 weeks
Goals/Objectives:
Learn basic compressor package sizing (piping, vessels, coolers, etc.)
Learn basics of P&IDs, GAs, and vessel drawings
Develop scopes of work and cost estimates for compressor repackage projects
Field visits with the Make-Ready Shops/Operations to observe day-to-day operations
