Duties may include performing assessments of patient's physical and emotional needs and providing patient care; participating in group therapy sessions; administering psychotropic medications; observing, recording and reporting medications and treatments; assisting with referrals if a medical condition needs follow-up; managing a clinic medication room including logging, storage and disposal of medications; coordinating and tracking Pharmacy Assistance Program applications; assisting physicians in responding to documentation corrections required by chart audits; and assisting with field visits to ensure medication compliance. Minimum Requirements Must possess all of the following: License: Must possess and maintain a current license in good standing as a Registered Nurse with the California Board of Registered Nursing. Certification: Must possess and maintain a Healthcare Provider level Basic Life Support certification. Experience: One (1) year of professional psychiatric nursing experience. Substitution: A bachelor's degree in nursing may substitute for up to six (6) months of the required experience. Desired Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess at least one (1) year of experience as a licensed registered nurse working with both children and adults in an outpatient behavioral health clinic.
