  • Responsibilities

    The Analytical Development group is seeking an Assistant Scientist who will be part of a dynamic Separations team. The primary responsibility will be development, validation, and transfer of separations-based analytical methods to QC labs. You will obtain a broad skill set and knowledge in Separation technologies including chromatography (SE, IEX, HIC, and RP-HPLC), capillary electrophoresis (cSDS, cIEF and CZE), and UV/VIS spectroscopy applications. You should be able to thrive in a team setting in a fast-paced GMP environment, contribute to multiple large molecule programs, be proficient with documentation, presentation, and review of analytical data, and possess excellent communication skills.

    Additional responsibilities for the Assistant Scientist may include:

    • Participate in initiatives to improve lab processes including 5S, Lean in the Lab and visual management.
    • Execute experiments to develop new separation-based analytical methods
    • Work with contract and QC laboratories to transfer methods and review data to ensure that quality standards are met
    • Provide input and identifies problems with scientific experiments
    • Follow GMP and safety compliances

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • A recent BS degree in Biochemistry or Chemistry with 0-1 years of relevant research experience is required.
    • A protein biochemistry background with knowledge of protein characterization/post-translational modifications is preferred.
    • Demonstrated leadership quality
    • Excellent interpersonal communication and presentation skills
    • Ability to find and present issues, and propose solutions to the issues
    • Ability to plan, execute and document studies with limited guidance
    • Highly self-motivated individual with acquisitive mind to do thing in an innovative way.
    • This role is based in Malvern, PA and may require up to 10% travel.
