    This individual will directly support the OptumHealth leadership team. This position will be accountable to the OptumHealth Chief of Staff to help augment staffing and organizational support services. The position will serve as a direct extension of the Chief of Staff in furthering OptumHealth’s growth, network development, quality, affordability, operations, technology, people and organizational objectives. We are looking for a highly talented individual with strong analytic and communications skills. The successful candidate will leverage experience in management consulting or business strategy to deliver data-driven, insightful recommendation and ultimately execution across the team.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    Chief of Staff Support

    • Support Chief of Staff in business strategy, business management and key priorities
    • Support preparation of Monthly Business Review, Annual Business Plan, 3 Year Strategic Roadmap, Board Updates and other ongoing corporate planning activities.
    • Develop and create internal and external meeting materials, including presentations
    • Facilitate events and meetings for internal and external participants
    • Anticipate and proactively gather information regarding trends and upcoming events
    • Analyze industry trends, healthcare consumer needs, competitive threats, and expansion opportunities; perform financial and conceptual analysis.
    • Help enhance of OptumHealth culture and communications

    Office of OptumHealth (leadership team) Support:

    • Provide Internal Project Management/Administrative support in a highly matrixed environment to ensure successful execution
    • Serve as a key resource to the business on complex and/or critical issues; directly support teams on a project basis to ensure successful execution
    • Nurture and develop strong relationships with Optum business unit leaders.

  • Qualifications

    Required Qualifications:

    • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or another related field from an accredited college/university during the duration of the internship. Internships are not intended for graduating seniors.
    • Creative, analytical thinker with strong problem solving skills
    • Minimum 3.00 cumulative GPA
    • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment-based work authorization (F-1 students with practical training and candidates requiring H-1Bs, TNs, etc. will not be considered
